Middleton M 28 v 10 Brotherton

This game was always going to be hard and physical as both team are chasing promotion.Middleton
took the points, but paid the price in having four players sent off.Credit gose to Brotherton for keeping
thier cool and preventing thier players from any retaliation.Scoring opened on 10 minutes when Ryan
Croft darted under the posts from acting half toscore and Neil Orr converted 6-0.Minutes later the score
was doubled when Carl Childerson went over and converted his own try 12-0.Brotherton hit back
with a well taken try from Danny Scarfe who went in under the posts for Carl Johnson to convert
6-12. Just on half time Liam Thornton scored and Orr converted for Middleton to leave them 18-6 up at half time.Ryan Croft opened the scoring in the second half for Middleton and Orr converted to put the
game beyond Brotherton at 24-6. Michel Appleyard finished the game of for Middleton with a try in
the corner to make the score 28-6. Middleton then had four players sent of details to follow.Brotherton finished the scoring when Dale Bolton went in in the corner to make the final score 28-10.

Qssett T 6 v 13 Batley B

This game had been put off a few times because of weather and the grounds unfit for play.Local derby's like this are fought hard to the end.Twenty minutes went by befor Mark Heaps put Ossett in front
with a good try at the side of the sticks for Sid Lindsey to convert 6-0
End to end rugby was next but neither side could cross the white line,
until five minutes from half time when Martin Crossley scored for Batly
and Adian Lister converted 6-6 H-T.Second half was just like the first
with both sides putting pressure on each other and defences holding
out,but with one team at the top of he League and the other in relegation territory everybody was looking to Ossett to pull something out of the bag,but it was Batley who scored a good try when Adam BIngham took
a good ball off Lister to race under the posts with Lister converting the
try 6-12.Time was ticking away and Ossett were putting on the pressure for the equalizer, but Batley held fast, and went up field with the last tackle Adian Lister dropped a goal to seal the game and give Batley two much needed points. Final score 6-13.
