This was the first encounter between the top two teams in the CMS Yorkshire Premier League and if
all the rest of the games are as good as this one then everybody is in for a treat.Both meet again in the
Fred Marshall Senior Cup in two weeks time at Queens, and in the League two weeks after.Plus all other local games and who knows the BARLA National Cup Final. Queens scored first with a penalty
from Johnny Milner on 19 minutes 2-0. Warriors hit back with a good try from Arron Niles two minutes
later 2-4.Just befor half time Milner leveled the score with another penalty to take the half to a close at 4-4.Second half was two minutes in when Omar Alrawi of Queens scored a good try to give them a 8-4 lead .On the hour Queens were awarded a penalty and up popped Milner to make the score 10-4. Two minutes from the restart Warriors were level when Gary McClelland darted in for a try at
the side of the post which Chris Hartley converted to bring the scores to 10-10. Time was ticking away with both sides going for the win, and with four minutes left Milner got himself in position for a drop goal, When the ball was passed to him he didn't let is team down and slotted the ball between the post to give Queens the victory at 11-10.Next chapter in two weeks time be thier.

Hunslet had this game won at half time when they scored 28 unanswered points with two tries frome Dale Harris one frome Johnny Austin another came from Rocky Price with Pat Banks chipping in for one Harris kicked four conversions to make it 0-28 H-T. In the second half Old Boys scored three more tries and two goals Austin got his second try and Sam Cork added one as did Tony Price with Harris converting two to make the final score 0-44 and move Old Boys into fourth place in the league.
