The first half saw Ossett run away into a 26-6 lead and leave Batley grasping at fresh air.Damion Platt
got Ossett of to a good start on 10 minutes with a try at the side of the sticks Sid Lindsey converted 0-6. Next on the score sheet was Andy Carter who scored a good try again Lindsey converted.0-12.
Batley got their first points when Brian Sheard scored and Adian Lister converted 6-12.Back came
Ossett with Antony Lindsey scored and kicked the conversion 6-18. A penalty from Sid Lindsey made
the score 6-20. Time was running out in the first half when Platt went in for his second try Sid Lindsey
goaled 6-26 H-T.Sid Lindsey got the second half off to a good start for Ossett with a try near the post which he converted to give his team a 6-32 lead. This then kick started Batley into action with first Adam Lister scoring followed by Adian Lister who kicked both goals 18-32. With 10 minutes remaining the Lister Brothers both scored again with Adian converting one 28 -32 .Sid Lindsey ended the scoring with a penalty two mins from time final score 28-34 to Ossett.
