Methley were on their way for a shock win on Saturday when they were leading 12-4 at half time,but
tired in the second half to see Lock Lane score 26 points to nil. Danny Agar got Methley of to a flier
with a well taken try under the post Reece Wilshaw converted 0-6. 10 minutes later Lane went in out
wide with Craig Duncan scoring kick missed. 4-6.With half time approching Tom Wheatley scored Methleys second try which Wilshaw converted to make the score 4-12 H-T.Lane must have had a stiff
taking to in the dressing room at the interval,because they came out with fire in their eyes.Within minutes of the kick off Chris Tudor went in at the side of the post for Duncan to convert 10-12.The next 20 minutes saw Lane run in three more tries. James Carvel scored first to put them in the lead for the first time kick missed 14-12. Next on the score sheet was Duncan with his second try which he converted 20-12.Tudor soon scored his second out wide to put his side 24-12 in front. Last try went
to Jordan Rice who darted under the sticks Darren Hollings converted to bring the game to an end at
30-12 . Steve Spedding praised Methley for a good game.
