Ossett T 20 v 13 Allerton B
Allerton took Ossett by surprise to race into a ten nil lead at half time with two good tries from first Danniel Leaf and then a sixty yard try from Craig Oliver one was converted by Leaf to give them a 0-10 lead at half time. Fearing no one Allerton extended their lead to 0-13 when
Danny Leaf first dropped a goal then converted a penalty for offside.
Allerton then started to tire just as they did against Queens a week earlier in the Semi-Final of the Senior Cup.Ossett started on the way back with a try from Craig Lovelace goaled by Sid Linsey 6-13.On sixty minutes Sid Linsey went in for a try under the post and converted it
himself to make the score 12-13. Allerton then put all their effort's into
defence and it was working until a player got caught offside and Lindsey kicked the conversion to put Ossett in front for the first time
at 14-13. Time was running out for Allerton and one last effort didn't help as Ossett killed off any reprieve they had when Josh Dufton
went in for Linsey to convert and put Ossett in the Top Four Final
against Bentley G C which will be played on Friday 4 th June at
Normanton 7-00pm ko. Don't miss this game.
